The surface came together in layers — earth, ash, mineral texture pressed into the canvas until it held weight. A grid of jute appeared at the base, anchoring the chaos above like a foundation barely visible beneath sediment. *Strata* is the record of what accumulates: what we carry without knowing we still carry it.
